Shahrukh khan movie raees 1st day box office collection , races ahead of kabil



After a long promotional campaign, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees has finally hit the box office running. The film which released on January 25, Wednesday, has earned a promising Rs 20.42 crore on day one at the ticket windows. The numbers are especially important as Wednesday was a working day. The box office collection are expected to be huge on Republic Day, which is a holiday.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the Raees collections on Twitter and wrote, “#Raees has a FANTASTIC Day 1… Wed ₹ 20.42 cr… Today [Thu; Republic Day] will witness HUMONGOUS biz again.”

Rahul Dholakia’s film Raees, starring Shah Rukh Khan as a bootlegger, started its box office run at a sprint. With around 80% occupancy being reported in cinemas on Wednesday, Raees has managed a blockbuster opening. Even internationally, the film is doing well.

Raees  is  estimated to be made on a budget of 85 Crores all inclusive without including Shahrukh Khan's salary. Shahrukh Khan whose salary ranges in 50 Crore has not taken his fee since it is his home production

Production Budget:65 Crores

Prints & Advertising Cost: 20 Crore

Raees  Hit or Flop

Raees  is well budgeted movie and it will be considered profitable if it crosses its budget i.e 85 Crores and a hit if it crosses 100 Crores in India

Raees has  recovery  expected to be around 50 Crores from Satellite, 15 Crores from Music and a good amount of around 35 Crores from overseas rights which should give it table profits.

Raess is expected to do better in overseas than Kaabil due to Shahrukh Khan's global appeal.

On its day 1 it was leading Kaabil everywhere and these were some of the numbers

Australia box office
Raees -3,984 USD [Rs. 2.71 lacs] from 1 screen

New Zealand box office

Raees – 16,069 USD [Rs. 10.93 lacs] from 11 screens

Raees  is estimated to be releasing on around 3400 screens which is lesser due to the clash but is much higher than  Hrithik's Kaabil.
