The legend Sachin Tendulkar today heaped lavish praise on Virat Kohli after the Indian captain slammed a record-breaking double century in the one-off Test against Bangladesh here.

This was Kohli's fourth double ton in four successive Test series, surpassing the legendary Donald Bradman and Rahul Dravid, who had three centuries in three rubbers.

Kohli's marathon innings, which came off 246 deliveries, included 24 fours.

He scored 200 against the West Indies in Antigua, 211 against New Zealand in Indore, and 235 against England in Mumbai, all in 2016.
