Even before its release, Dangal had struck a deal of Rs 75 crores with ZeeTV in regards to satellite rights as compared to Sultan where it had struck Rs 55 crores deal with Sony TV.
2nd highest opening in the year 2016 doing a business of Rs 29.78 crores.
First Hindi movie to cross a collection of 1.5 Million in the first day itself in Middle east
First Hindi movie to have the highest OPENING in US box office. Collected 1.7 Million USD.
Highest opening in UK (GBP 314 K / USD 502 K) and also in Australia and New Zealand (AUD 253 K / USD 182 K)
Earned Rs 42.35 crores in its 3rd day, highest earning by any movie in a single day in 2016.
On its first Monday, the movie earned Rs 25.48 crores which is now the highest earnings of Monday in Bollywood.

After the 9th day of its release, Dangal surpassed Sultan’s collection by earning Rs 22.72 crores. Overall collection of Dangal in 9th day was Rs 238.25 crores while Sultan’s collection in 9th day was 229.63 crores.
On its 2nd Wednesday, it finally entered the 300 crore club surpassing the lifetime collection of Sultan. Total earning of Dangal on its 2nd Wednesday – Rs 304.38 crores in comparison to Sultan’s lifetime collection of Rs 300.45 crores.
First Hindi movie to collect more than Rs 300 crores in just 13 days.
On its 15th day, the movie collected Rs 6.66 crores summing a total collection of Rs 320.16 crores thus beating the lifetime collection of Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 319.62 crores).
On its 17th day, it surpassed the lifetime collection of PK movie by collecting a total of Rs 345.30 crores (Rs 14.33 crores on 17th Day). PK had collected Rs 340.80 crores.
First movie to enter the Rs 350 crore club by earning Rs 4.03 crores on its 19th day. The total collection was Rs 353.68 crores.
Till now, 6th week, it has collected Rs 385.07 crores, thus breaking the record of highest grosser of all time.
