Ms dhoni visits sehwag international school in jhajjar haryana
Former India skipper MS Dhoni on Friday visited the Sehwag International School in Jhajjar, Haryana. Dhoni started off by saying that he was supposed to visit the school last year, but could not do so as he was busy with cricket. He then went on to share his childhood experiences of going to school, saying that the school days were the most memorable period in his life as there was no tension whatsoever and advised the students to make the best of their school days. He then answered a few questions put forward to him. Sehwag too was pleased to have Dhoni come down. He said, “I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
There have been talks of rift between Virender Sehwag and Dhoni in the past. But the current Indian coach Anil Kumble believes that Dhoni handled all the senior players well, always did what was best for the team and got the best out of them. Sehwag however played under Dhoni in India’s triumphant World T20 2007 and ICC World Cup 2011 campaigns. The fact that Dhoni decided to show up for this event in Sehwag’s school, shows that all is good between the two cricketers. Recently, Sehwag had also shared a sketch of Dhoni, which was drawn by his son Aaryavir.
Sehwag also thanked Ajay Jadeja, Ajay Sharma, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul dravid and Anil Kumble when he was felicitated by the DDCA at Feroz Shah Kotla, as recently as 2015. Not to forget, even current Team India member Ravichandran Ashwin did not thank Dhoni when he recently won the ICC Cricketer of the Year, drawing many criticisms on social media.
